Elementary school "Ivan Vusovic" was founded in 1838, since when it has been working continuously until today, which ranks it among the elementary schools with a long tradition. It was named after Ivan Vusovic, a first-time NOB fighter who worked as a judge in Razanj. Today, it is an institution that covers the areas of 14 local communities. It is recognizable in the local community for the implementation of projects that significantly improve the work of the school, numerous sports, cultural and educational activities, work, care for students and families, equal inclusion of all students in the overall life of the school, magazine "Raznjici od znanja", rich offer extracurricular activities, which makes it attractive for students from other schools. Conditions for learning and living of students are excellent - all school buildings are renovated, special attention is paid to student safety, space hygiene and aesthetic and didactic arrangement, one-shift work, specialized classrooms equipped with modern teaching aids and furniture, richly equipped library, yard with sports fields and a green area, dining room (ceremonial hall), highly educated, creative and motivated teaching staff willing to develop and progress professionally. The students of the school achieve excellent results in learning, which shows the continuity of the success they achieve in continuing their education, as well as the results in competitions. The work and success of students are monitored, students with the best results are praised and rewarded.

from the annals of the Vitoshava school
The chronicle dates from August 18, 1898.
At the very beginning, the teacher and school manager Avram Stamatović says:
"This school started to be built in the spring of 1864, and in August of the same year it was already ready. It was built with the effort and expense of the whole area: Vitoševac, Podgorac, Grabovo, Pardik, Šetka, Bračin, Pretrkovac, Skorica and Smilovac. Before this school was built, students from all over this area went to the school in Razanj. All the above-mentioned villages were in the school community until 1881, when Bračinci and Pretrkovci came out first and opened a school in Bračin, and in 1890 Skoričani and Smilovci left this community and opened a school in Skorica. The villages of Vitoševac, Šetka, Pardik, Grabovo and Podgorac have remained in the school community to this day. According to the order of the school supervisor, an excursion-excursion was made with adult students of all four grades to Kruševac on May 4-6, 1902. They went on foot to Kruševac and on the first day the students toured the town and in the afternoon watched two plays: Knez Ivan od Semberije and Boj On the last day, on their way home, the students saw the ruins of the Todor Tower from Stalac. The trip made a nice and pleasant impression on the children and enriched them with new concepts and ideas.

By the decision of the Municipal Assembly of Razanj, No. 61-8 / 91-02 of July 18, 1991. The elementary school "Moša Pijade" and the elementary school "Jovan Jovanović Zmaj" were merged into one.
The school was named Elementary School "Vuk Karadzic". The seat of the school is in Vitoševac, and separate classes are in Novi Bračin (eight-grade), Stari Bračin (four-grade), Pretrkovac (four-grade), Smilovac (four-grade), Skorica (four-grade), Podgorac (four-grade), Pardik (four-grade) ).
